§ Trade

What we do, in order.

A DG file moves through the same five stages whether it is a pallet of Serbian wine going to Hong Kong or a container of power stations coming the other way. Here is the sequence, and what we take responsibility for at each step.

The corner of a steel shipping container: painted steel, rivets, a cargo seal and a lashing bar
Every file ends at a steel box and a document pack that customs will accept.
§ Sequence

How a file moves

01

Brief & feasibility

Before anyone quotes, we establish whether the product can legally and economically land.

HS classificationDuty modellingMarket check

We classify the goods, model duty and VAT at the destination, check the standards regime that applies, and give an honest read on whether the margin survives the landed cost. Files that do not work, we say so early.

02

Sourcing or offer

Either we find you the supply, or we put our own supply in front of you.

Factory shortlistAuditSamplesPrivate label

For buyers: a shortlist of qualified suppliers, audited, with samples and a negotiated price. For sellers: a route into our own distribution and into the buyer network we already trade with. Private-label and OEM/ODM programmes run through the same track.

03

Compliance & certification

The destination market decides what the product must carry. We arrange it.

TestingLabellingDocumentationLocal marking

Each corridor has its own regime — electrical safety, food labelling, cosmetic notification, medical-device classification, alcohol excise. We map the requirement for the specific destination, arrange the testing and produce the document pack customs will actually accept.

04

Freight & clearance

One Incoterm, one counterparty, one tracking reference.

ConsolidationSea & airCustomsLast mile

We consolidate, book, insure and clear. Because we hold entities at both ends of the corridor, we can trade on terms that put the customs risk on the side that is better placed to carry it — instead of leaving it with whoever is least able to argue.

05

Sell-through

The container arriving is the middle of the job, not the end of it.

Marketplace listingLocalised contentPaid mediaAfter-sales

Where the deal includes distribution, we list the product on the platforms that matter in that market, write and localise the content, run the acquisition, and stand behind the warranty. This is the part most trading companies do not offer, and it is the part that decides whether a second order happens.

§ Terms

Engagement structures

How we can be engaged.

Three structures cover almost every conversation we have.

Structure A

Principal

We buy the goods and sell them on. You deal with one invoice, one counterparty and one set of terms.

  • Best where you want price certainty
  • We carry the inventory and the currency risk
  • Typical for our own brands and repeat programmes
Structure B

Agency

You contract the supplier directly. We source, verify, inspect and move the goods on a fee.

  • Best where you want the factory relationship
  • Full transparency on the underlying price
  • Typical for large or ongoing sourcing programmes
Structure C

Distribution

You appoint us for a market, or we appoint you for one. Exclusive or non-exclusive, with targets.

  • Best for brand owners entering a new region
  • Includes listing, localisation and after-sales
  • Typical for our brand portfolio and partner brands

Bring us a file.

Send the specification or the market. We will come back with the route, the timeline and the structure that fits.
